Nilambur (Kerala) [India], July 28 (ANI): A newborn baby was found dead inside a bucket in the washroom of a private hospital in Akambadam on Monday.
The body was discovered by the hospital’s housekeeping staff while cleaning the washroom at Fatima Hospital.
According to the preliminary investigation, police suspect that the mother deliberately abandoned the baby in the washroom. Officers reached the hospital, conducted an inspection, and recorded statements from doctors and hospital staff.
Hospital authorities said a young woman from Chaliyar and her relatives arrived at the hospital around 11 p.m. the previous night with complaints of heavy bleeding. The duty nurse advised that she be shifted immediately to Nilambur District Hospital for further treatment.
