New Delhi [India], May 13 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP ) president JP Nadda on Tuesday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for announcing a “holistic package” of Rs 20 lakh crore and said that “self-reliance is the panacea to fight COVID-19 “.
“In the times of COVID-19, PM Narendra Modi is leading the country from the front. The 21st century will be defined by India, PM’s message today has laid foundation stone for implementing this. `Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ is our mantra for driving country towards this new change,” Nadda tweeted.
Nadda stated that today Prime Minister Modi has declared the “world’s largest holistic relief package.” “The Modi government has given financial package s of Rs 20 lakh crore to support every section of the society. It is around 10 per cent of Indian GDP.
PM’s proactive approach will build a ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’,” he said. “Self-reliance is the panacea to fight COVID-19. I thank PM Narendra Modi for announcing holistic package of Rs 20 lakh crore to address land, labour, liquidity and laws. Nitin Gadkari welcomes ‘historical package’ for MSME, cottage industry sector
Union Minister for MSMEs and Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday welcomed the relief package worth Rs 20 lakh crore announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi . He said, through this “historical package”, the Prime Minister has fulfilled the expectations and aspirations of the MSME, village and cottage industry sector.
Gadkari said, with “abundant resources, superior technology and raw materials”, India can soon become self-reliant in all sectors, read a statement. “Industry can never forget this support given by Prime Minister to small industries, cottage industries and rural industries. Over 11 crore wokers, who work in these, have been given relief. We will become a super economic power, come out of this crisis and walk towards development,” Gadkari said.Â
Prime Minister Modi announced a special economic package today for various sections and MSMEs while addressing the nation on Tuesday. “This will play an important role in the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan.’ The announcements made by the government over COVID, decisions of RBI and today’s package totals to Rs 20 lakh crore.
This is 10 per cent of India’s GDP,” he said. The Prime Minister said that humanity would not accept defeat from the coronavirus but the people have to stay safe and move forward.
“We had never seen or heard about such a crisis ever before. This is definitely unimaginable for mankind. It is unprecedented. But humanity will not accept defeat from this virus. We have to not only protect ourselves but also move forward,” he said.

Special package of Rs 20 lakh cr will make India a fully self-reliant country: Haryana CM
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for announcing the big financial package of Rs 20 lakh crore, giving major relief to the industrial sector, particularly MSMEs, which will lead to making India a fully self-reliant country.
Terming this package as the world’s most holistic COVID-19 relief package, he said that it will increase the efficiency of all sectors. An official statement quoted Chief Minister Lal saying that the package, which is almost ten per cent of the GDP of India, will benefit farmers, labourers and industrial sector focussing especially on small and cottage industries.
He said that in this hour of crisis, the need was to give a boost to the development of the country thereby making the nation self-reliant, strong and confident. (ANI)
