Moscow [Russia], May 26 (ANI): Russia n President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday announced that Russia has passed the peak of coronavirus cases. “According to experts, our peak is considered passed,” Putin was quoted as saying at a video conference meeting with Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu by TASS.
According to latest data from Johns Hopkins University, the number of coronavirus cases worldwide has risen to 5,512,055 while the death toll has risen 346,612. In Russia , the coronavirus case stand at 362,342 while the fatalities stand at 3,807. Earlier, the Russia n government set up an Internet hotline to keep the public updated on the coronavirus situation.

More than 9.1 million tests to detect COVID-19 have been conducted in Russia since the start of the outbreak, the country’s public health watchdog , Rospotrebnadzor, said on Tuesday. “Over 9.1 million coronavirus tests have been conducted in the Russia n Federation.
As many as 292,000 people remain under medical monitoring,” Rospotrebnadzor was quoted as saying by Sputnik. As many as 215,000 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours, according to the watchdog. Russia ‘s overall number of recorded coronavirus cases has reached 3,53,000. The country’s COVID-19 death toll has surpassed 3,630, while over 118,000 people have recovered.(ANI)
