New Delhi [India], August 19 (ANI): Attacking the Centre on ‘the rise of Arvind Kejriwal’, former Union Law Minister Kapil Sibal on Friday said that it is the time for Bharatiya Janata Party to destabilise.
Terming the Central Bureau of Investigation and Enforcement Directorate the “longest arms of government” Sibal tweeted, “Now that Kejriwal is on the rise, Time for BJP to destabilise”.
He further mentioned in his tweet that earlier ‘the target was Satyender Jain, now it is Sisodia.’
Officials of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrived at the residence of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia as part of the investigative agency’s raids at 21 places across Delhi and the National Capital Region.
CBI raid an attempt to stop revolutionary work in education, health sectors: Sanjay Singh backs Sisodia
After the CBI raided Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s residence on Friday, AAP leader Sanjay Singh said these raids were an attempt to stop the revolutionary work done in the education and health sector by the Kejriwal-led Delhi government and not liquor cases.
He also highlighted that the education and health model was gaining international acclaim. “Just days back a picture of Manish Sisodia was on the front page of America’s biggest newspaper New York Times. Everyone throughout the whole country is happy about it but BJP. He has done some extraordinary work when it comes to the health sector, be it Mohalla clinics or be it the education sector, the AAP leadership has revolutionised all of it. Now these CBI raids are nothing but an attempt to stop all of this,” said AAP leader Sanjay Singh.
He also further stated that the raids were not targeted to investigate anything related to the liquor case. “The raids on Manish Sisodia are nowhere related to liquor cases. Otherwise, there should have been raids in Gujarat also where numerous people lost their lives after consumption of spurious liquor,” he added. Singh’s remarks came after the Central Bureau of Investigation arrived at the residence of the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia, which he confirmed via a tweet on Friday morning.
CBI should tell people if they recover anything: AAP’s Saurabh Bharadwaj extends support to Sisodia
Extending support to Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raided his premises, the Aam Aadmi Party MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj said CBI should tell people if they recovered anything. “We welcome CBI and other agencies that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has – including the ED, Income tax. This is not the first case of raids on AAP leaders, but the question is what do these agencies recover? They should tell people if anything was ever recovered anywhere,” said MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj.
Amid CBI raid, Kejriwal issues missed call no for people to join ‘Make India no 1’ mission
Delhi Chief Minister and national convenor of AAP Arvind Kejriwal on Friday urged people to join the ‘Make India number 1’ campaign and issued a missed call number for the general masses. “I am issuing a number today, missed call number — 9510001000. Those who want to join this mission, those who want to see India as the number 1 nation in the world, the most powerful nation, the best nation, should join this,” said Delhi CM.
His remarks came after the Central Bureau of Investigation conducted raids on the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia’s residence, which the latter confirmed via a tweet on Friday morning. The CM also stressed that the central investigative agency would find nothing in the raids.
“This isn’t the first raid. In the last 7 yrs, several raids were conducted on Manish Sisodia. Several false cases were lodged against him. Raids were conducted on me as well, on Satyendar Jain, on Kailash Gehlot – but nothing was found. They won’t get anything even now,” Kejriwal said. Earlier on Wednesday, Kejriwal launched ‘Make India No.1‘. “We have to make India the number one nation in the world once again. We have to make India great again. We are beginning a national mission called ‘Make India No.1‘ today,” Kejriwal said in his address.
Urging all the countrymen to connect to the mission, he said, “every citizen of this country, 130 crore people have to be connected to this mission.” “It has been 75 years of independence. In these 75 years, we achieved a lot, India gained a lot but there’s anger, a question among people that several small nations which attained independence after us, surpassed us. Why did India lag behind? Every citizen is asking this,” he further said.
Lauding the country’s civilization, he said that it is as old as thousands of years, India is a great country.
Earlier on Tuesday, Delhi CM had stressed that every child should get good and free education across the country and everyone collectively should start working on it on a war footing basis. “Every child should get good and free education across the country. Every person should get good and free treatment for healthcare purposes. We should now start this work on a war footing basis. Only then, India will become the number one country,” Kejriwal said.
