Tokyo [Japan], March 29 (ANI/Sputnik): The Japanese government is asking companies not to agree to pay for Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) in rubles if they receive relevant demands, Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno told reporters.
“To date, there are no notifications that existing contracts with Japanese companies for the supply of LNG from Russia will fall under the requirement to convert into rubles. However, if such demands are received, the Japanese government would like to ask companies not to agree to such conditions,” he said . (ANI/Sputnik)
Japan bans exports of luxury products to Russia from April 5
Tokyo [Japan], March 29 (ANI/Sputnik): From April 5, the Japanese government will impose a ban on the exportation of luxury goods to Russia, including premium cars and precious stones, Economy Minister Koichi Hagiuda told reporters.
“In line with the government’s decision, starting from April 5, a ban is introduced on the exportation to Russia of luxury products, including premium cars, precious stones and jewelry,” he said.
Earlier, Japan imposed an export ban on almost 300 items of goods and technologies. (ANI/Sputnik)
