Hangzhou [China], October 25 (ANI): Following India’s success at the ongoing Asian Para Games in Hangzhou on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated all the medalists who have clinched medals at the para multi-sports event. PM Modi took to his official X (formerly known as Twitter) account and congratulated Pushpendra Singh for winning the bronze medal in the Men’s Javelin F64 event and said that his exceptional performance has brought immense honour to our nation.

In the ongoing Asian Para Games, India has won 55 medals so far, consisting of 14 gold, 19 silver and 22 bronze medals. 35 of these medals have come in athletics, with 12 golds and silvers each and 11 bronze medals.
India’s performance in the 2018 games in Indonesia, which earned them 15 gold, 24 silver, 33 bronze and a total of 72 medals, is their best so far. The fourth edition of the Para Asian Games started on October 22 and will conclude on October 28. (ANI)
