Tel Aviv [Israel], October 11 (ANI): Sharing a picture of the barbaric killings carried out by the terrorist group Hamas, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday, in a post on social media platform X, said that Hamas is worse than ISIS. “Hamas is worse than ISIS,” the Israeli PM wrote as he shared the post. Sharing the same post on X, the IDF said, “Only a genocidal terrorist organization is capable of such horrors.”
Meanwhile, as of now, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has said that the area of the Gaza Division has been declared a closed military zone.
Reiterating that the entry is strictly prohibited, the IDF has said that if done, it would be a criminal offence and constitute a serious security risk. In order to ensure that the security forces can continue their work, the IDF has requested public exercise caution and refrain from going into the restricted areas.
According to The Times of Israel, the IDF Chief of Staff Lt Gen Herzi Halevi has told reservist officers at the Southern Command base in Beersheba that the defence forces are, at present focusing efforts on targeting the Hamas officials.
“In any area that we know there are Hamas members, Hamas leaders, even if there are restrictions, we strike… accurately and with great power,” Halevi said, according to The Times of Israel.
With every passing day, the war between Israel and Hamas continues to become more ghastly, with thousands of civilians killed on both sides.
As of now, the death toll on the Israeli side has crossed over the 1200 mark whereas nearly 1,000 Palestinians have lost their lives, including children. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said he has ordered a “complete siege” of the Gaza Strip. “I have ordered a complete siege on the Gaza Strip.
There will be no electricity, no food, and no fuel, everything is closed. We are fighting human animals, and we act accordingly,” said Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. More than 2 million people live in Gaza, who have been at the receiving end of the harsh blockade since 2007, but now, Israel aims towards a “complete siege” by denying Gaza all supplies in response to the unexpected and brutal Hamas attack on Israel on October 7.
Continuing its air assault on Hamas, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) on Wednesday said it struck over 200 targets of the terrorist group in the Al Furkan neighbourhood, The Times of Israel reported. According to the news report, the security forces also bombed the house of the father of Mohammed Deif, the head of Hamas’s military wing believed to be the key plotter of the terror attacks. (ANI)
Israel Defense Forces carries out drone strike against Hezbollah post in southern Lebanon
Tel Aviv [Israel], October 11 (ANI/TPS): The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has said it carried out a drone strike against a Hezbollah post in southern Lebanon in response to an anti-tank guided missile attack on an army post on the border, which was claimed by the terror group, The Times of Israel reported.
The IDF said it also launched artillery strikes against the source of the missile fire.
The IDF earlier said an anti-tank missile was launched from Lebanon towards a military post near the community of Arab Al-Aramshe. Taking to X, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) stated, “An anti-tank missile was launched from Lebanon toward a military post adjacent to the community of Arab Al-Aramshe on the #BlueLine.”
A suspected infiltration attempt occurred near the border town of Rosh HaNikra. A senior Israel Defence Forces (IDF) officer and two soldiers were killed during a firefight with terrorists who infiltrated into Israeli territory from southern Lebanon on Monday afternoon, the military confirmed on Tuesday.
Five additional Israeli troops were wounded in the attack, according to the IDF. The officer was identified as 300th Brigade Deputy Commander Lt Col Alim Abdullah, 40, from the Druze village of Yanuh-Jat in northern Israel.
Meanwhile, the IDF said it targeted the Islamic University of Gaza, which serves as an “important centre of political and military power for Hamas in the Gaza Strip”. In a post shared on X, the IDF stated, “Fighter jets recently attacked the Islamic University, which serves as an important centre of political and military power for the terrorist organization Hamas in the Gaza Strip and a training institution for the development and production of weapons. The IDF continues with extensive waves of attacks in the Gaza Strip at this time as well.”
Earlier in the day, the spokesperson for Israel Defence Forces (IDF), Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Conricus, said over 1,200 citizens were killed and more than 2,700 injured in the Hamas strikes, adding that the Israeli forces were ready to execute the mission in Gaza. “Four days after Hamas breached into Israel, attacked Israeli communities, murdered and massacred Israeli citizens and took dozens of Israeli hostages into Gaza. The death toll is staggering, a 1200 dead Israelis. The overwhelming majority of them civilians and more than 2700 wounded and sadly something tells me that these are not final numbers,” he said.
The IDF spokesperson informed that about 300,000 soldiers have been deployed on the Gaza border, adding that they would ensure that Hamas is completely shorn of its military capabilities at the end of the ongoing war. (ANI/TPS)
Gaza power plant ceases operation after running out of fuel
Tel Aviv [Israel], October 11 (ANI): The power plant in the Gaza Strip ceased operations on Wednesday afternoon after running out of fuel, the Gaza Energy Authority announced, The Jerusalem Post reported. Meanwhile, nearly 1,000 people have been killed and 5,000 others have been injured in Gaza after Israel launched a strong retaliation after the ‘surprise attack’ by Hamas, CNN reported citing Gaza Health Ministry.
According to the ministry, some 950 people have been killed and 5,000 others have been injured in the strikes in Gaza, according to the CNN report. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has said it has killed some 1,500 terrorists in Israeli territory after Hamas launched an attack on Israeli border communities, The Times of Israel reported.
The Israeli Defence Forces said that it targeted Hamas‘s “aerial detection capabilities” in Gaza. According to the IDF, the terror group had a network of cameras, hidden inside solar water heaters across the Strip in order to track and monitor Israeli aircraft. “Yesterday, within a few minutes during a focused sortie, the IAF struck all of the sites of the network and demolished Hamas‘s ability to form an accurate picture of the skies and their efforts to target IDF aircraft,” The Times of Israel quoted the military as saying.
In an update posted on X, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said that dozens of warplanes attacked more than 80 targets throughout Beit Hanon during the night. “Dozens of warplanes attacked over 80 targets throughout Beit Hanon during the night. Israeli President Isaac Herzog visited Sderot on Wednesday, said: ” We will win thanks to the incredibly amazing heroism of our people”
The Israeli President also underscored the importance of reconstructing the area and providing ‘absolute security’ for the people of Israel. (ANI)
