Washington DC. November 5: In a historic turn of events, President Donald J. Trump stormed back to power for a second time defeating his Democratic challenger Kamala Harris.
President Trump received 277 electoral college votes while Kamala Harris received 226. Trump is leading Harris by 2-3 points in other states like Michigan, Arizona, Nevada and Alaska, which are yet to declare their final results.
Trump also won the popular vote, which is a first in 20 years for a Republican presidential candidate, after George W. Bush won both the Electoral College and Popular votes in 2004. Trump won 51% (72 million) to 47.5% (67 Million) won by Kamala Harris.
The election was not result was not decided by a razor thin margin as most of the media establishment projected but a landslide for Trump and the Republican party which has been provided and mandate to govern the country for the next four years.
Soon after the news of his victory broke out, Trump addressed his supporters, thanking them for their support in hiring him to be the 47th president of the United States. “This campaign was so historic in so many ways …that will allow us to ‘Make America Great Again. Many people have told me that God spared my life for a reason, and that reason was to save our country and restore America to greatness and now we are going to fulfill the mission together… It is time to put the divisions of the past 4 years behind and it is time to unite and I will not let you down. America’s future will be bigger, better, bolder, richer, safer and stronger than ever before.”
The mood in the Kamala Harris watch party at the Howard University in Washington DC (her Alma Mater) was sombre. Initially there were great expectations, with dancing and music, but as the night dragged on with no hope of a turnaround of positive outcome, Kamala announced that she would not be meeting with the team until the following day, the party slowly left the arena. Harris is expected to deliver her concession speech anytime Wednesday evening.
This is the greatest comeback of all time. First time in 80 years that a president who lost his second run for the office has returned to power in his third attempt after Grover Cleveland who served as the US 22nd President 1884 and as the 24th President in 1892. Trump will be the second president to serve a non-consecutive term. Trump who served as the 45th President would now serve a second term as the 47th President of the United States.
The failure of the current administration’s economic policies which caused severe inflation, higher gas prices and extremely high credit card interest rates which is 32% percent annually, has affected the pocket books of the common man. The surge in mortgage to 7 and 8 percent have negatively impacted the younger generation of realizing the American dream of purchasing a home beyond their reach.
Trump’s victory is a severe blow to the permanent political class in Washington DC, who attempted to thwart his return to the White House by throwing a wrench at every move he made.
With multiple court cases in Georgia, Washington D.C, Florida and New York, both civil and criminal, aimed at draining him financially and to destroy his reputation, did not discourage him but emboldened him to fight with grit and determination. Two assassination attempts and several other attempts which did not capture media attention nor attract publicity, it was a race most of his foes attempted to thwart using all the forces of the state, the media and the judiciary. No one would have survived such attacks and come back alive.
After dodging the assassin’s bullet he rose upon his feet with the American flag waving at the background, pumped his fist up in the air screaming “fight, fight, fight”. It was a determination to save the country from further deterioration and to end the global conflicts such as the ones raging among Ukraine and Russia and Israel and Palestine in the Middle East.
It is also a sound repudiation of the US Media establishments who rush to run negative stories about Trump without any due diligence to confirm the veracity of the news they publish. and never bothered to correct, even when they were proven wrong.
According to reliable reports, the US media establishments relentlessly attacked the Trump campaign with 95% negative coverage while providing 90% positive coverage for the Harris’s Campaign. The media is now proven wrong which evidently establishes that their 24/7 attempt to malign his reputation had minimal effect on him. All the major news outlets in the US Media landscape, whom Trump collectively branded as the “Fake News Media” proved that Trump was right, and that they represent no truth but are the purveyors of the establishment narratives.
