Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 4 (ANI): BJP MLA Nitesh Rane on Monday filed an anticipatory bail application in the Bombay High Court after the Sindhudurg district court refused his application in an attempt to murder case. The matter is likely to be heard today.
A case has been filed against Nitesh Rane, son of Union Minister Narayan Rane, for allegedly assaulting Santosh Parab, a Shiv Sena worker. On December 18, a Kankavli resident claiming to be a Shiv Sena worker had filed a police complaint alleging that he was assaulted by Nitesh Rane. (ANI)
Three teenagers held for killing friend in Delhi’s Mangolpuri
New Delhi [India], January 4 (ANI): Police arrested three people for allegedly killing an 18-year-old boy after he refused to lend his jacket to them so they could impress girls, informed Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Outer Parvinder Singh. The victim has been identified as Santosh while the accused persons have been identified as Prince (19), Harshu (19), and Javed (19), said a statement by the police.
On December 28, 2022, the teen’s mother, a resident of Delhi’s Mangolpuri reported that her son was allegedly abducted by a group of four boys– namely Prince, Harshu, Paras, and Javed (resident of the same locality), since they were absconding, as per the statement.
\During the interrogation, the accused persons revealed that on the afternoon of December 25, 2021, Prince had asked Santosh to lend the jacket to him for some time in order to impress girls, but the victim refused and taunted him on his poverty.
They allegedly stabbed Santosh and threw his body into a drain. The body has been recovered, the police said. (ANI)
3 policemen killed in Patna road misha
Patna (Bihar) [India], January 4 (ANI): Three policemen were killed and two sustained injuries after a speeding truck lost control and overturned on a police vehicle near Patna in the early morning on Tuesday, informed local police.
“Three policemen have died and two others sustained injuries after an overspeeding truck lost control and overturned on a police vehicle patrolling in the area, near the Beur More in Patna, early morning today,” said Pranjal Tripathi, Trainee Deputy superintendent of police.
“The vehicle belonged to Gardanibagh Police Station. The injured policemen have been admitted to a government hospital. We rushed to the spot as soon as we got information about the accident,” said Mithlesh Singh, Inspector, Traffic Police. More details are awaited. (ANI)
Two held for murder in Delhi’s Dakshinpuri
New Delhi [India], January 4 (ANI): Delhi Police on Monday informed that two, including a juvenile, have been apprehended for the alleged murder of a man in his 20s in Dakshinpuri over a dispute.
As per the police, the victim, Abhishek, was brought dead to Madan Mohan Malviya Hospital with a stab wound on the chest.
A case under section 302/34 (Criminal acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against the accused Arun and the juvenile at Ambedkar Nagar police station, and the murder weapon (knife) has also been recovered,
