India condemned the attack after a car plowed into a crowd at a Christmas market in Germany’s Magdeburg. In a statement MEA expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy, stating, “We condemn the horrific and senseless attack”. The statement read, the Indian Mission in Germany is ensuring that the injured Indian nationals receive necessary care & support. The attack that took place on Dec 20 claimed lives of 5 people including a 9 yr old and injured over 200. Meanwhile, as per sources 7 Indian nationals sustained injuries in the car attack at Christmas market in Magdeburg. Of these, three have been discharged from the hospital, while the Indian Mission is closely monitoring the condition of the remaining victims, sources said.
