Alwar (Rajasthan) [India], May 26 (ANI): The Alwar unit of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested two medical officers and a broker on Sunday for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 from a complainant.
The ACB arrested Dr Samarth Lal Meena, Dr Yogesh Sharma — medical officers of Community Health Centre in Pratapgarh, Alwar district, and their broker Sunil Goyal, a medical store operator in Pratapgarh, red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 25,000 from the complainant on Sunday.
Director General of ACB, Dr Ravi Prakash Mehra said, “A complaint was given to ACB Alwar-Bhiwadi unit that in order to issue a favourable Medico Legal Certificate (MLC) report of grievous injuries received during a family feud registered at Pratapgarh police station, Dr Samarth Lal Meena and Dr Yogesh Sharma, both Medical Officers of Community Health Center Pratapgarh in Alwar district demanded a bribe amount of Rs 1 lakh.”
Under the supervision of ACB Jaipur Deputy Inspector General of Police Kaluram Rawat and under the leadership of Parmeshwar Lal, Deputy Superintendent of Police of ACB Alwar-II, Bhiwadi Unit laid a trap along with his team.
The accused Dr Samarth Lal Meena, Dr Yogesh Sharma and their broker Sunil Goyal were arrested red handed while taking a bribe amount of Rs 25,000 from the complainant.
The accused Dr Yogesh Sharma had already collected Rs 15,000 as bribe from the complainant earlier during verification process.
Further investigation against the accused are being conducted under the direction of Deputy Inspector General of Police Kaluram Rawat.
ACB will register a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act and carry out further investigation into the same.(ANI)
