The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested Aryan Khan in an alleged drugs party on a cruise ship on October 2 night. The film actor Murad who reached here in Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur on Saturday evening said he is visiting Ayodhya Ramlila on October 14 and will play the role of ‘Kumbhakaran’. “This is a good example that people from every religion are participating in Ramlila,” he said.
Murad also spoke to the media about the ongoing incident of farmers who are protesting against the farm laws and said not a single life should be lost in protesting. “There should not be any violence or not a single life should be lost in action and reaction,” he added.
Fans and friends from the film industry have been backing SRK in this matter, ever since the news has come out. Earlier, Actor Shekhar Suman also came out in support of Aryan Khan‘s and said, “My heart goes out to Shahrukh Khan and Gauri Khan. As a parent, I can totally understand what they are going through. It’s not easy for parents to go through this kind of torment and ordeal no matter what.”

Drugs-on-cruise case: Witnesses mandatory during seizure, none of them known to NCB prior to operation, says senior official
Reacting to allegations concerning raid on a cruise ship off Mumbai coast earlier this month, a senior Narcotics Control Bureau official said on Saturday that nine independent witnesses were involved in the operation and “none of them was known to NCB prior to the operation”.
“A total of nine independent witnesses were involved in the operation and Manish Bhanushali and KP Gosavi were among them. None of the independent witnesses including these two persons were known to NCB prior to this operation,” NCB Dy DG Gyaneshwar Singh said.
He said on specific information, a team of NCB Mumbai Zone raided the Goa-bound cruise ship and “intercepted eight persons on the spot along with various drugs”
“As per the due procedure established by the law of the land, independent public witnesses are mandatorily required to be present during seizure operations. NCB strongly adheres to the procedure and involves at least two independent witnesses in all of its operations,” he said.
Singh added that the focus is mainly on “operation and drug recovery” and field verification of the witnesses is not possible.
He said as high-profile persons were involved, the detained persons were taken to NCB office to avoid large crowds and avoid any unwanted leakages as also for their safety.
NCP leader Nawab Malik had earlier alleged that NCB had acted “on the directions of the BJP”. “This is a conspiracy to defame the Maharashtra government and the Bollywood,” he said. Citing a video in which those detained from the Mumbai cruise were seen being taken to the NCB office, Nawab Malik has also alleged that “the person taking him (Aryan Khan) to the office is a BJP leader Manish Bhanushali.”
Eight persons including including Aryan Khan, Arbaz Seth Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha, Vikrant Chhoker, Ismeet Singh, Nupur Sarika, Gomit Chopra and Mohak Jaswal were produced before Mumbai’s Esplanade Court on Monday which remanded them to Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) custody till October 7.
Not much heard about seizure of drugs at Gujarat port: Manoj Jha slams media over ‘exaggerated coverage’ of Mumbai cruise raid case
Slamming the ‘exaggerated’ media coverage of Aryan Khan’s arrest by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the Mumbai cruise raid case as compared to that of the seizure of around 3,000 kg of drugs from Mundra port in Gujarat, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Manoj Jha said that not much was heard about the latter case “as if the 3000 kg heroin evaporated in the air”.
“In the past days, 3000 kg of drugs were seized from the Mundra port. However, we did not hear much from the media about it as if the 3000 kg heroin evaporated in the air,” Jha told ANI. He further said, “This is ‘headline management’ so that the country should think in some other direction rather than thinking about the important issues”.
“We can never forget the aftermath of Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death case. Where on the one hand, media and government authorities were completely immersed over questions like who brought 10-15 grams of drugs, rather than the plethora of issues including the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Jha while recalling actor Sushant Singh Rajput death case where the NCB arrested actor Rhea Chakraborty.
Questioning NCB, Jha said, “The rule of law is not visible. A person seems to be behaving like the officials of NCB in the whole incident. How is he present there? Is he a witness or is he a former, who is he? Till today this is not clear in this matter”.
An NCB team busted an alleged drugs party on the Cordelia Cruise ship which was on its way to Goa at mid-sea on October 2. As many as 18 arrests have been made in the cruise ship raid case so far. A Mumbai Magistrate court had on Thursday sent Aryan Khan and seven others to judicial custody for 14 days. (ANI)
