It also showcases the indigenous design, modular construction, and advanced technology of Indian naval vessels, highlighting India’s growing role as a reliable defense technology partner.
In a Facebook post, the Indian Navy said the visit is designed to strengthen professional cooperation, improve interoperability, and promote greater understanding between the two navies through a series of operational engagements and outreach activities.
The Navy added that the deployment reflects India’s commitment to its Act East policy and the MAHASAGAR initiative while reinforcing cooperative maritime security in the Indo-Pacific. The visit also supports efforts to strengthen maritime partnerships with ASEAN nations during the ASEAN-India Year of Maritime Cooperation 2026.
